1st Workshop on R3: DNA Replication, Recombination and Repair
The Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa and the Fondazione Adriano Buzzati-Traverso are pleased to announce the 1st Workshop on R3: DNA Replication, Recombination and Repair, to be held at the Conservatorio Santa Chiara, San Miniato (Pisa) between the 30th of June and the 2nd of July 2010.
The aim of the workshop is to act as a focus for the Italian scientific community working on replication, recombination and repair so as to: Create a R3 network in Italy.
Favour national and internation collaboration in the R3 research area. Facilitate the mobility of young researchers. Topics covered: DNA replication fork: structure, function and dynamics. DNA repair and recombination mechanisms. Cell cycle and genomic (in)stability. Keynote lecturers John Diffley - Cancer Research UK. Andres Aguilera - Universidad de Sevilla-CSIC. Alan Lehmann - University of Sussex. In addition the program will include lectures from invited speakers, as well as oral presentations selected from submitted poster abstracts. The meeting will include a maximum of 90 participants and will start at lunchtime on Wednesday the 30th of June and terminate at lunchtime on Friday the 2nd of July. The meeting will be held at the splendid thirteen century Conservatorio di S. Chiara (http://www.fcsc.it/).
Accommodation will be provided on site and at selected establishments (hotels and agriturismo) in the vicinity, connected by shuttle buses. A web site with detailed information about the meeting, including registration and accommodation forms, will soon be available.
